National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Malaysia (NAWEM) is a non-governmental organisation which seeks to empower women in various skill sets.
The main issue was that the existing website could not be updated on time. Most of the news becomes expired upon a couple of days when it is supposed to be up at the website informing NAWEM members on the latest updates. Slow responsive server slows down the loading of the website further.
Focus groups come into play again. We ran through the draft content several rounds within the focus group, and concluded the content upon three sessions with various women from different age group.
We acquired a new web-hosting server that is based in Kuala Lumpur with new security features added. A new CMS (Content Management System) was installed with a much improved design, including a responsive website that changes according to its screen size (mobile phone included), and with improved look and feel for the website with new content.
We also added in a mass mailing system platform within the CMS, to assist NAWEM with mass email distribution to all their members. Members details were populated into the system.
The website achieved far reaching results, with a monthly average of 25,000 page views. A much more responsive results from the general public, which we believe are mostly women as the website serves as a platform for women advocacy projects.
